NOT FOR RESIDENTIAL USE, COMMERCIAL
APPLICATIONS ONLY!

How
much does just one slip/fall on a wet surface cost your property?
We now live in an age of litigation, skyrocketing insurance
premiums, workman's compensation,
adverse public relations and compliance with the ADA. FloorSafe®
will address these concerns for you!
|
Nationwide
on-the-job
accidents from slips and falls are estimated to
cause 100,000
disabling injuries per year at a direct cost (Indemnity benefits and
medical expenses only) of over $250,000,000. In addition there are over
3500 deaths each year that may be attributed to slips and falls. Such
accidents are a risk in any commercial building, but are most serious
where water on quarry tile floors can make walking surfaces as slippery as
ice.
 |
FloorSafe® will reduce the incidence of slips and falls on
quarry/ceramic tiles by raising the coefficient
of friction. - on bathroom floors,
in kitchens, restaurants, swimming pools, food
& beverage processing plants and any other
areas where quarry and ceramic tile floors can present slip
problems. FloorSafe® is safe, easy, self
applied (takes less than 15 minutes per 400 s.f.), in use for over 31
year, environmentally safe and most important affordable.

FloorSafe®
is a unique anti-slip floor treatment that has been
specifically developed for self application on quarry/ceramic tile floor areas that are
subject to water. This anti-slip
treatment
forms an invisible microscopic tread design in the surface of the ceramic/quarry tile. (does not contain
hydrofluoric, hydrochloric or sulfuric acids.) |
 |
When applied, FloorSafe® forms an integral part of the ceramic/quarry
tile, leaving a highly slip- resistant floor surface. The floor surface is
then cleaned with normal cleaning methods. Reapply FloorSafe® only
when the floor needs more grip. |
 |
You may be able to receive tax credits for
making your floors compliant with the American with Disabilities Act
(ADA). Always check with your Accounting firm to see if applicable.

Q.
How does FloorSafe®
Anti-Slip work?
A. FloorSafe®
chemically forms an invisible
microscopic tread design in the surface of mineral based materials (i.e.,
quarry, ceramic, porcelain, marble and terrazzo tiles) which raises the
co-efficient of friction. (does not contain hydrofluoric, hydrochloric or
sulfuric acids.) (Not recommended for bathroom tiles see our TubSafe page).
Q. What is co-efficient of friction?
A. Simply stated: Greater pressure in the presence
of water now lessens the chance of slipping, where before it increased it.
Q. May I anti-slip my floors as easily as I did
my bathtubs/showers with TubSafe®?
A. Tiles can be made anti-slip just as easily by using FloorSafe®.
Due to the fact that ceramic
tiles are available in a vast number of qualities, it will take a little
pre-testing to determine exact time needed to provide the correct amount
of anti-slip properties to ceramic tiles. High gloss marble and terrazzo
may be treated, but a small portion of their gloss/sheen may be lost.
These materials should only be treated if slip/falls are paramount and the
aesthetic appearance is a minor-issue.
Q. What, if any, will diminish the effects of
FloorSafe®?
A. Grease, vegetable/animal fats and improper
cleaning. Since a microscopic tread design has been created, it must be
kept clear of any buildup. With good housekeeping procedures this should
not present any significant problem.
Q. May I apply more FloorSafe® to a floor that is not always cleaned well.
A. Yes, FloorSafe®
has been formulated to be
re-applied whenever "grip" is lessened because of grease and/or
dirt build-up or use our Main-Tain®
Anti Slip Rejuvenator.
Q. Is my floor now harder to clean?
A. No, with proper cleaning the floor is no harder
to maintain than before.
Q. Should I seal my floor after using FloorSafe®?
A. No. Most topical sealers and waxes "fill
in" the microscopic tread design and lead to a slippery floor surface
again.
Q. How long will the anti-slip last?
A. Since the treatment is now part of the surface of
the flooring material, it is dependent on how much abrasion from traffic
and footwear the floor material is exposed to. In area with very
little exposure to abrasion, the treatment will last years. While
in heavy traffic areas, such as entries and common areas the anti-slip may
last only a few months and need to be re-applied.
Q. What about companies that "sell"
installed "so-called" non-slip products?
A. Many companies offer an installed product. This
involves bringing their own people or subcontracting laborers into your
facility which is costly, creates logistic problems as well as a cash
burden. If you have determined that your own people
cannot "wash" a floor, or follow a 1 step procedure then
by all means the other alternatives should be looked into
Q. What about the 3 - 5 year warrantees claimed
by these companies?
A. It is our opinion that it is entirely
dependent on location, traffic, footwear and maintenance. Since these
variables are extensive, it is not prudent for us to issue what we believe
are exaggerated warrantee periods. FloorSafe®
is no more expensive than a good cleaning
product and affordable to reapply when/if necessary (click
to read about Main-Tain®).
